Neuromuscular Therapy (Trigger Point Therapy)
Neuromuscular Therapy also known as Trigger Point Therapy, is a very specialized form of manual therapy that utilizes static pressure on specific trigger points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body (muscles, tendons and connective tissue) to balance the central nervous system. In a healthy individual, nerves transmit impulses (which are responsible for every movement, function and thought) to the body very slowly. Injury, trauma, postural distortion or stress cause nerves to speed up their transmission, inhibiting equilibrium and making the body vulnerable to pain and dysfunction. It is therefore necessary to stabilize low levels of neurological activity to maintain normal function and overall health.
Sports Massage is a style of bodywork that addresses the particular needs of athletes. Sports Massage is a special form of massage and is typically used before, during, and after athletic events, as well as off-season, pre-season and post-season massage. The purpose of the sports massage is to prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, relieve swelling, reduce muscle tension, promote flexibility and to prevent injuries. No Oils or lotions are applied during this massage
Myofascial Release Therapy
Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves assessing clients and applying gentle sustained pressure using cross fiber and longitudinal strokes on specific fascia & connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Little or no oil is applied during this massage. A re-assessment is always conducted at the tail end of the session. You’ll definitely see the benefits!
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is focused work and uses slow, deep and intense strokes across the grain of specific muscles to heal physical injuries, chronic tension and emotional stresses within the body. This massage can be used to release trapped nerves and correct damaged muscle tissue, as well as to soften hard muscles which have caused joint restriction and structural misalignment. A small amount of lotion or oil is used during this massage.
